Rainbow Walker (Biber Herrmann)

Van Gogh could have painted this rainy sky
As I woke up today
Stuck here lying in my bed in this filthy hotel room
Just another show
Along my crooked way
As that weary old blues comes rolling in again
It’s a little poet’s prayer I need to say

Rainbow Walker
Stay brave

We slipped into this world
With nothing less to give
Than the diamonds shining in our eyes
Oh on this roller coaster
We’ve been taken over
By reasons and alibis
You tried to walk in line
But you just can’t deny
God’s promise that’s pounding in your veins

Rainbow Walker
Stay brave

There’s times when the money is low
And the way don’t feel right
But then again there’s just no better place you call your own
Give birth to some painting
Pour out your song
Whatever’s coming through your flesh and bones
Let your spirit rise
Like the colours in the sky
And someone soon calls out your name

Rainbow Walker
Stay brave
